Cheviot wool has a Helical crimp - 3 dimensional structures that gives the wool resilience and bounce.  
The micron count is aprox 28 and this rovinghas a 4-5 inch staple length.  
The wool roving is open without being slippery making it an excellent wool for beginning spinners.  
The yarn produced from Cheviot wool is a pleasure to knit, crochet and weave with.
